- Brainstorm creative ways to engage with the issue within your industry.
Who? This event is for you if you think the Fresk could be useful to run in your workplace, but you’re just not sure (yet).
Why Climate Fresk?
Every business will have to adapt to the changes that are coming due to the climate crisis. Bringing the Fresk to your workplace gives your team the chance to get a head start on questions that will define success in the new era of business: what might the climate transition look like in our industry? What can we put in place now that will save us time and energy in the future, and set us on a futureproof course? Do we rely on toxic assets?
This game-based workshop has been played by over 400,000 people worldwide – it has swept Europe and is now starting to arrive in the UK. People across all industries are getting ready for a future that’s not far off in the distance, it’s already here. Will you be among the trailblazers for an efficient climate transition or will you be left in the dust?
Take the opportunity to meet fellow professionals working in the sustainability space. Form connections so we can make this transition collaborative and co-created. What if this is the push you’ve been looking for?
When and where? 9.30am – 12.30pm, Thursday 29th September 2022, Future Leap, 1-3 Gloucester Rd, Bristol, BS7 8AA
Cost? See Eventbrite for ticket prices.
What do I need to bring? No materials or level of understanding required. An open mind and a willingness to play along in a cooperative game are optional, but they are desirable.
Why should I trust this game?
The content of the workshop is based on the most recent IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) report that outlines the state of our changing planet, as the top scientists in the world understand it.
The Fresk takes the key points from the 1300-page IPCC report and puts them into a card game that anyone can play. It aims to convey the information as it stands, with no political agenda or bias.
We present the science. What it means and what you want to do about it is down to you.
Don’t just take it from us…
Faith, massage therapist, 27:
‘I came into the workshop thinking I already knew a lot about climate change, but I ended up learning a fair amount of new stuff. The facilitators did a great job of guiding us towards the right answers and they were really patient when I didn’t quite get something! I liked the level it was pitched at: it was simple enough to follow but also challenging and new.
One of the best things about it was the energy in the room. You could tell everyone cared and wanted to work together to find out what we could do. It was sort of electric and exciting.
I met some cool people involved in climate-related projects in Bristol I hadn’t heard of and got a few people’s numbers. Everyone brought their own experience and expertise, so we were learning from each other as well. The game itself was actually pretty fun, even though the material is somewhat bleak!’
Hope to see you there!
